Kristin Cavallari turned an old barn on her 130-acre Tennessee estate into an indoor basketball court – and her sons sleep in a custom bunk bed shaped like a tiny house
Kristin Cavallari's been in the news for turning a barn on her 130-acre Tennessee estate into a regulation indoor basketball court. That's not in this tour. What is: a kitchen she gutted, a lot of Kate Moss, and a bunk bed I'd have done anything for at nine.
Straight in the door
She opened up for MyDomaine's Entertaining Issue, so yes, there's a table already set.

The dining room is right inside the front doors. No foyer, no hallway. You walk in and you're basically at dinner.

Spiral candles. I'd knock one over within ten minutes.

Glasses and napkin rings are from Uncommon James, her own brand. One commenter: "Products products products, ur girl knows how to hustle." Fair.

Where everyone actually sits
She says this is where she and the kids spend most of their time. A white sofa. With three kids. Brave.

At least two people in the comments wanted to know where that white couch is from. Nobody answered.

It's open to the kitchen so she can cook and still keep an eye on whatever the kids are up to.

Reclaimed wood behind the shelves stops all that white from going clinical.

Black-and-white fashion books, naturally.

The kitchen she gutted
She tore this out and redid it after buying the place. She wanted warm and homey, and the wood ceiling is doing most of that work.

Brass pot filler over the range. No more hauling a full pot of water over from the sink.

Her own cookbook, True Comfort, parked next to a pot of mint. Subtle.

Zoom calls and Kate Moss
This is where she takes her Zoom meetings. Better backdrop than my laundry pile.

Kate Moss shows up in here and again in the hallway. The mustache finger tattoo one is my favourite, and "love the kate moss photos" got its own comment, so I'm not alone.

Upstairs, the kids win
She calls it a massive hangout for her three kids. It's the TV room too. Someone in the comments just wants to know where the leather couch came from.

Custom built-in. Her sons use it for sleepovers with friends, so I'm guessing this room is packed every Friday.

Hanging tent chair. I'd fit. Probably.

The basketball barn gets the headlines, but I'd have spent the whole tour in that bunk bed. The commenters complaining it was too short have a point.
