Nick and Vanessa Lachey list their Tarzana mansion for $8.2million after buying it BACK from tennis champ Naomi Osaka – who paid them $6.3million for it

Nick and Vanessa Lachey just listed their Tarzana house for $8.2 million, and the backstory is better than the listing. They sold it to Naomi Osaka, then bought it back from her. Here's that house, plus the two Encino places they lived in before it.

The house that came back

They paid just over $5 million for it in 2020. Sold it to Naomi Osaka for $6.3 million. Then bought it back for nearly $8 million, so about $1.7M more than they sold it for. Now it's $8.2M.

Inside Tarzana

7,000 square feet, five bedrooms, five full baths and two powder rooms. Built in 2015.

Nice. Not very memorable, though. Every new-build in the Valley has this room.

Two islands. With three kids, I get it.

My favourite room in this house, and it's all the wallpaper.

There's a second living room upstairs by the kids' bedrooms, which is a smart way to keep them out of the first one.

And another one in the bathroom, a few feet from the steam shower. I'd never leave.

The backyard

Yes, the kids got a two-story house of their own. Fake grass too, so nobody's mowing.

Per the listing there's also an outdoor living room, a bar and a grill back here. Plus the court. Half an acre goes a long way.

Encino, the big one

They bought this in 2016 for $4.1 million and sold it for $6.7 million. It's in a gated community with only two other houses. Half the comments were people pointing out it was Jenni Rivera's home before she died, which the video never mentions.

18-foot ceilings and two staircases. Vanessa apparently went all out decorating these at Christmas, and honestly, who wouldn't.

Best room across all three houses, for me. Those windows go up two floors.

Where it started

Their first home as a married couple, bought for $2.8 million in 2011. It came back on the market in 2021 asking over $5.9 million.

Very Tuscan. A bit much in places, but I'd keep that fireplace.

This patio, though. Vines, a fountain, far too many string lights in the best way. I'd eat every meal out here.

And Nick's court, painted for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats, his hometown team. It was still like this when the house got relisted years later, which I love. One commenter couldn't get past the narrator saying "CincinnAHHHti."

The comments were mostly Jessica Simpson's divorce money and people insisting they live in Hawaii now. I just want to see the spa gym Naomi Osaka put in, since nobody's shown it yet.
