I am absolutely losing my mind over the stone choices in this Nevada house

Okay, so I was casually scrolling through listings in Henderson, Nevada, and I stumbled on this 7,400-square-foot place. It was built in 2005, and it looks like the designers had a massive budget and a deep obsession with rare geology.

The outside and the lake

From the street, it looks like a pretty typical desert mansion with palms and nice uplighting.

But the second you step around to the back, you realize you are right on the edge of Lake Las Vegas, which changes the whole vibe.

The pool has an infinity edge that makes it look like it just spills right into the lake.

There is also a round hot tub covered in mosaic tile, which looks like the spot to sit with a drink.

Let’s look at the view from the pool deck because the mountains in the background are ridiculous.

The main living spaces

Inside, the main living room is giant, with a bunch of different seating areas scattered across the carpet.

On the other side of the room, there is a fireplace and a black wall with some texture that stretches all the way across.

Then you walk into this double-height room with massive windows that completely frame the water.

They decorated this wall with sliced petrified wood or geodes, which is our first hint of the stone theme.

Looking back from the window, you get a view of the grand staircase and a gold bar area under the landing.

That curved brown sofa looks like it could seat about twenty people easily.

The gold bar

This bar is wild. When it is closed, it just looks like these massive textured gold doors.

Open it up, and the entire interior is lined with a fossil mosaic. There is even a little gold pig statue hanging out on the counter.

It has a sink and a wine fridge, all wrapped in this incredibly busy stone.

Dining and stairs

Right nearby is the formal dining room, which is moody and round with a textured silver ceiling.

If you want to head upstairs, you have to go up this white double staircase.

It has a serious old-school feel to it.

Or, if you are feeling lazy, you can just take the elevator.

The wild kitchen

I am not even sure how to describe this kitchen. They used a pebble-patterned stone for the floor, the counters, and the entire backsplash.

They paired all that busy stone with grey cabinets that look like they belong in a spaceship.

It is definitely a choice, but you have to respect the commitment to the look.

The bedrooms

The primary bedroom is huge and features a massive screen behind the bed.

It has its own dedicated media cabinet and built-ins opposite the bed.

There is another bedroom upstairs that opens right up to a private balcony.

Waking up to that mountain view would be pretty hard to hate.

The balcony itself has plenty of room to sit and watch the sunset.

The bathrooms

This guest bathroom is covered in a dramatic red and white veined marble.

But the primary bathroom is the real showstopper. It is completely clad in gold and yellow veined marble.

Slabs of this stuff cover the floors, the walls, and even form giant columns.

The tub is built into a massive marble platform right under some frosted windows.

Even the shower and the separate makeup vanity are wrapped in the same gold stone.

The closet

The closet is basically the size of a bedroom, and yes, they put more of that gold stone on the floor and the island.

The backyard at night

As the sun goes down, the whole house lights up, and the pool looks incredible.

The view over the lake at night is so peaceful.

You can sit out on the balcony and just watch the sun dip below the mountains.

The infinity edge pool literally looks like a mirror at dusk.

The lights across the water reflect off the surface and make it feel like a resort.

Speaking of across the water, you get a great view of the bridge and the village area.
