This 1970s Las Vegas mansion is hidden completely underground
Imagine telling your friends you bought a five-bedroom home in Vegas, only to lead them down a staircase into a massive, artificial subterranean world. Built in the height of the Cold War, this incredible property has an entire luxury estate buried deep below the desert floor.
First, the normal-looking house on top
From the street, you would never guess anything unusual is going on here. It looks like a typical, two-story Vegas home with a big driveway and some palm trees.

Heading 26 feet down
Things get wild once you head toward the basement entrance. A heavy door opens up to a concrete stairwell marked with a vintage fallout shelter sign.

If you do not feel like taking the stairs, there is also a fully functional elevator that drops you right into the subterranean lobby.

A look around the front yard
Once you exit the lobby, you are standing in a simulated suburban neighborhood complete with fake grass, painted mountain views, and a shingled roof over the home’s entrance.

The front door looks like it belongs on a luxury ranch home from 1975, complete with heavy double doors and a stone facade.

The massive living and game rooms
The main living space is incredibly open, with dark wood plank floors, exposed ceiling beams, and even a built-in blackjack table for home casino nights.

The wet bar is fully stocked and features neon signs, pink lighting, and plenty of space to mix drinks for guests.

Just off the main living area, there is a dedicated game room painted bright red, featuring a green felt pool table and vintage artwork.

That pink kitchen
If you love retro design, this kitchen is basically a dream come true. It is covered in soft pink trim, patterned wallpaper, and matching pink appliances.

A very yellow dining room
Right next to the kitchen is the formal dining room, which takes the monochrome theme to a whole new level with yellow floral wallpaper covering the walls and ceiling.

The master suite
The master bedroom keeps the color theme going with soft pink wallpaper, a crystal chandelier, and a sliding glass door that looks out onto the indoor yard.

The master bathroom is just as wild, featuring a pink carpeted platform that surrounds a sunken jetted tub.

More retro rooms to explore
Even the secondary bathrooms have their own distinct personalities, like this green-tiled room with a hand-painted mural over the tub.

There is also a cozy secondary den down here with bright blue velvet seating and a fun hand-shaped chair.

The backyard and guest house
If you walk out the back of the main underground house, you will find a separate guest casita sitting on the artificial lawn.

Inside the casita, there is a comfortable living area with wood ceiling beams and sliding glass doors that look right back at the main house.

The legendary pool and yard area
The highlight of the entire property has to be the indoor pool area, complete with faux pine trees, rock waterfalls, and a programmable sky ceiling that changes from day to night.

There is even a wooden dance floor right next to the pool, complete with a disco ball hanging from the ceiling.

Across the yard, a stone fountain sits in the middle of the artificial grass, surrounded by lounge chairs.

The perimeter walls are covered in massive, hand-painted murals depicting quiet mountain lakes and pine forests to help you forget you are underground.

The level of detail in the murals is incredible, like this painted watermill along a rushing stream.

Checking out the above-ground space
Back upstairs in the normal-looking house, the design is much more modern but still has plenty of character, like this massive home office with vaulted ceilings.

The above-ground home has its own dining area and wet bar, perfect for when you want some actual Nevada sunlight.

The upstairs kitchen is clean and functional, featuring light wood cabinets and modern appliances.

The bedrooms upstairs are spacious, with high ceilings and large windows looking out at the neighborhood.

Finally, the upstairs bathrooms are clean, updated, and ready for daily use.
